Here is a kit my Mom bought for me. This is my first attempt at free hand feathers. I really like how this turned out. I don't know why I waited so long to try this stitch. I used a dense echoing circles on the outer border. I really enjoyed this project.
Delores made a sweet embroidered basket quilt. Embroidery of this caliber is just not seen often and it is a pleasure to work on this quilt. I love how the quilting just floats around these baskets.
Alice made a beautiful quilt for a birthday present. The raw edged applique flowers are so pretty. They have such dimension already and they will have even more after washing!!
Marcia quilted this with a loop and leaf pattern. This is an overall freehand pattern. Click on the pictures to see the details, Nice job ladies!
This adorable baby quilt was made by Barb. It has the best John Deere fabric ever! It is the pink squares! The dark brown squares are Minkee and this was my first time to quilt on that type of fabric. It quilted up without any problems.
Click to enlarge photo to see the meandering flower design. Ahhh, the baby should be here soon and will we snuggling under this in no time.
I love to hear a quilter say "I am making a quilt for myself, I have never done that before."
Carol did that. All of the beautiful quilts she has inspired me with, over the years we have known each other, were given away as gifts or for charity.
