2 more quilts!

Here is a close up of a leaf and flower overall pattern that I quilted this last week.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the whole quilt. They are Christmas presents for a customer so not showing all of it is probably the safest idea!! This is white thread on a white background fabric.

This next quilt is a overall pattern I call Mod Curls. I like this silver thread on the black fabrics and the pinks and whites also have the quilting "retreat" to more of a background. It changes to more of a texture in that section of the quilt.

Thought it would be nice to show the close ups. The quilts will be such treasured gifts for my customer!

"over the river and through the woods...", the stitches are perfect and so are the points

I love the buildings in this panel

Wonderful job, Alison. It is lovely. It was quilted with a loop and swirl stitch.

Freehand Swirls

Barbara lives on the west coast. Her sister, Sue went to visit her and brought this quilt back. I completed it before she came to visit her sister in Michigan. I love the colors in this quilt. Batiks!! I quilted it with an overall freehand swirl. Great job, Barbara! Sorry it took me a bit to post your quilt's pictures, I had technical difficulties with my camera, good thing Marcia took some photos for the blog, too.

Feathers!

Here is a kit my Mom bought for me. This is my first attempt at free hand feathers. I really like how this turned out. I don't know why I waited so long to try this stitch.  I used a dense echoing circles on the outer border. I really enjoyed this project.

A sweet basket of flowers!

Delores made a sweet embroidered basket quilt. Embroidery of this caliber is just not seen often and it is a pleasure to work on this quilt. I love how the quilting just floats around these baskets.

Baby Quilt

This adorable baby quilt was made by Barb. It has the best John Deere fabric ever! It is the pink squares! The dark brown squares are Minkee and this was my first time to quilt on that type of fabric. It quilted up without any problems.

Carol's Quilt

I love to hear a quilter say "I am making a quilt for myself, I have never done that before."

Carol did that. All of the beautiful quilts she has inspired me with, over the years we have known each other, were given away as gifts or for charity.

Not this one, she did a fabulous job!

Custom Quilting

Front

back

This is my first custom quilt for Holly. I found that this was really fun and stretched me creatively. The liberated quilt piecing allowed for the different stitches. I think the stitches show up when the pictures are enlarged. Lovely quilt!

Design Wall Monday

I made three more Civil War Diary Quilt Blocks. I have a 100 piece block to do this week. I am sure it will be great! I have 20 blocks left to do. I am so close to finishing it.

I have been quilting and you can see two quilts I finished here.

I am going to complain about the snow on Palm Sunday. My son had his driving test in it, and he passed, I am so thrilled for him. Off to the Secretary of State this week for his license! OK I am done complaining now. Now to scrape my car's windows and get to work. Have a great Monday all!!
