Quilts in March!

This quilt was pieced by ladies in my church a few years ago. It was never finished and I wanted to finish it. It was made by many women who had never pieced a block before. The back is pieced. The fabrics were donated and it was intended for charity. Close up of the pieced back highlights the vine stitching. I love it. It is going to a shelter that our church conference sponsors. I think it will find a good home and provide warmth to a family.

This is a quilt our customer made. Dolores hand stitching is so divine! This has a echoing flower stitch with a few butterflies scattered amongst the flowers. The last picture is of the back.

Beautiful projects that I enjoyed being part of. The pictures can be enlarged if you click on them.

Marcia's Quilts For 2011!

This quilt uses "friendship triangles" that were exchanged at the quilt shop last summer. The pattern is by "Laundry Basket Quilts" and it is lovely. Look at that batik border.

This little quilt is made with a holiday layer cake. It is so adorable and can be left out most of the year!

This quilt is the "man quilt." Marcia's husband picked out the fabrics and hoped for a quilt especially for him!

Close up of the fussy cut squares! I think the quilting is wonderful Marcia!!

A sampler of stitches

Here is the finished quilt. And the next photos are close ups of the sampler of stitches I did on several blocks.

Holly leaves on the angel

Hearts and loops on the Valentine

Center is a flower with bananas around the golden ring

More bananas, I am crazy about them!

A little tiny flower in the center of the pineapple

Tiny clovers

And my leaf stitch on the Maple leaf block.

This is a wild and random assortment of blocks. The quilting was a fun opportunity to use an "anything goes" quilting on it. This is my quilt and I am very happy with the results.

Vicki's Quilts

I have learned a echoing flower for my queen sized quilt. New colors for spring!

And for the traditional star quilt of mine, I continue chose Wonky feather.

First Quilt of 2011 Finished!

This is a first quilt for Barb and her daughter will be thrilled. What a great job. The loops and circles complemented the quilt nicely.

The long arm is ready for the next one!

Christmas gifts are so fun to finish!

Alice made another quilt and this  is another beautiful one! A disappearing 4 patch that is rich in its color choices. I used a copper thread to stipple the borders and use a ladyslipper stitch in the center. Lovely!!

More leaves and curls! Alice made this fabulous Four Patch Posie for the holidays. The stitches really show up on the black fabric.
